Legends of Tomorrow: Season 2 - News

Legends of Tomorrow villain will be a slow burner; Are we about to see the Thanagarians?
Vandal Savage was the 'big bad' of Legends of Tomorrow's first season, but it sounds like the show will be taking things in a very different direction when it returns later this year to The CW!
Introduced in last year's Arrow/The Flash crossover, Vandal Savage was Legends of Tomorrow foe from the very start. However, Entertainment Weekly has reported on some details on what we should expect from the show's upcoming second season, and it appears as if The CW series will be following the other DC TV shows when it comes to its big bad.
"Unlike the first season of Legends, where we basically had the 'big bad' introduced in a crossover, what we’re going to do in season 2 of Legends will be more similar to what you’ve experienced in the first three seasons of Arrow or the first two seasons of Flash, where it’s more of a slow reveal and a little bit of a mystery,"
Marc Guggenheim, Executive producer of the show.
With the surprise introduction of Hourman in Legends of Tomorrow's season one finale, it makes sense that they're going to take a slow burn approach to both unravelling the mystery of the Justice Society of America and why Rex Tyler was sent back in time (all we know is that Heat Wave was the one who made him warn the team).
Unfortunately, one thing we do know is that Rip Hunter and co won't be squaring off against the future invading alien race, the Thanagarians. He previously indicated that would be the case after the finale.
Now that would be an interesting thing to witness!
