Casting calls have suggested that even more baddies from the Flash's comic book history will appear this season including Mirror Master, Top and a third may or may not be Rose and Thorn..

According to CBR, Grey Damon has been cast as The Mirror Master and will appear in the fourth episode of the season, probably in late October or early November. Grey is known for his supporting role of Detective Brian Shafe on NBC’s Aquarius and as Grayson Montrose on The CW’s short-lived alien fantasy drama, Star-Crossed.

First appearing in the comics in 1959 and originally created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino as a predominantly roguish character, The CW has decided to go with the original, Sam Scudder version.

The official character description from WBTV below:

“One of the Flash’s most infamous Rogues, Sam Scudder — aka Mirror Master — is a smooth criminal with a huge ego. Upon discovering he now has the power to travel through any reflective surface, Scudder embarks on a massive crime spree to prove himself the greatest thief that Central City has ever seen.”

Mirror Master has an interesting set of superpowers and abilities all involving reflections and of course, mirrors. In comics lore, Sam Scudder started out as a basic convict, but was always fascinated by reflections. Stumbling into a hall of mirrors and experimenting aplenty, he learned how to get inside of his own reflection. Using his unique powers, he became Mirror Master, a frequent foe of Barry Allen. Scudder uses mirrors to hypnotize, become invisible, create holograms and physical transformations and finally to communications with and travel to other dimensions.

Hopefully Season 3 of The Flash will be an interesting one, especially adding the more classic comic book villains and exploring the popular Flashpoint storyline. Bringing The Mirror Master to the small screen might be a difficult task for the special effects department, especially as he’s constantly jumping in and out of mirrors.

I have a suspicion that the directors of the show will change quite a bit of how he looks and uses his powers, if in fact he has the same powers as the comics version!

The Flash season 3 will premiere in the US, Tuesday October 4th at 8pm on The CW, but I have no idea of when we'll see it in the UK.
