The Flash: Season 3 - News

Returning for a third season, "The Flash" is bringing one of the biggest DC Comics' events to life.
After getting the go-ahead from program creator Greg Berlanti, Grant Gustin who plays Barry Allen on the series, dropped the title of the premiere on Twitter.
Flashpoint, originally the name of a 2011 comic book event that paved the way for a full re-launch of the DC Comics' universe known as The New 52. The story had major ramifications on nearly every character covered by DC: including Superman, Wonder Woman and Batgirl. Flashpoint was also adapted into a 2013 animated film.
"We're definitely doing this FP thing our own way.. I've read Flashpoint, I've seen the amazing animated film. This will be its own thing," Gustin said in a follow-up tweet.
The final episode for Season 2, appeared to lay the seeds for this massive event!
And while all of the superhero shows on The CW (which include Arrow, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl) take place in the same fictional multiverse, it remains to be seen if this show's version of the event will ripple into all of the other series. However, "The Flash" will be the first of these shows to return to the network in the fall, premiering October 4 in the US at 8 p.m. ET.
I just hope we can experience this major story line just as soon here in the UK.
