It's finally here... the ONE all of us comic geeks has been waiting for... DOOMSDAY!

And I've gotta say... it's excited me.

For all the controversy of whether it's a good thing or not having Robert Downy Jr returning, I like what we're being teased with. The overall visual looks enticing, there are a few things that I find off putting, like Steve Rogers being just Steve Rogers... which I hope will change somehow as the film plays out. Maybe he'll eventually go back to his NOMAD era as we've already been teased with him taking his old uniform out of a suitcase... but there seems to be sometime passed between us seeing that imagery and seeing him now with Thor ie the longer hair... is this the same Steve Rogers?

Gotta say loving finally having James Marsden as Cyclops in a proper costume... it's only taken 23 years!

Don't know how I feel seeing Professor X and Magneto once again looking like they're in peril, but there maybe a different take on it this time.

Quite like Robert Downy Jr's voice he's using for Doom and I like how Doom looks, although I find it incredible that Marvel are literally just dumping Dr Doom on us with no build up what-so-ever. Dr Doom one of, if NOT the most prolific villains from the Marvel Comics universe and bang he's in a film out of no where.

I just hope Robert Downy Jr plays him well and Marvel are going to keep the character of Dr Doom around for sometime, ie weave as many of the plot lines he's been responsible for in the comics into as many of the ongoing films as possible. Maybe not the main villain of future films but a background villain that later films keep making references to and then a few years down the line bring him to the forefront again... 'House of M' maybe a possiblity as we maybe about to enter the 'Mutant Saga'. He's way to good of a villain to just use him for 'Doomsday' and then discard him!

Not a big fan of the Fantastic Four, think they just look 'Meh'... where's the co-ordinated costumes, they're wearing something like them but they're pretty awful, hopefully like Steve Rogers maybe they get a costume upgrade.

On the subject of costumes... is it me or do all the heroes look like they're all wearing muted outfits... when are we going to see the end of these damn military style outfits and let them have there own uniqueness again. They all look pretty drab and downbeat.

As it looks like we may not be seeing Steve Rogers back in some kind of uniform I really hope we get more Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent! At least he's wearing some kind of outfit even though he's still got the 'bent-up' shield... someone bend it back for him, please!

Everything else looks pretty kewl although Mystique looks a bit weird and have no idea why Gambit seems to be getting quite a long spot on this trailer.

But this is only the first proper trailer and we haven't seen half the characters yet... like Nightcrawler, Vision, Beast or Dr Strange...

So, so, SO, looking forward to 18th December 2026!!!
