Fantastic Four: First Steps

Ok so we've got an Official Teaser for the upcoming Fantastic Four movie, First Steps and to be completely honest I'm not that impressed. OK, it's only a teaser so we I can't take too much away from it, but all I'll say is... should a teaser for an upcoming movie be something that makes you go WOW! I can't wait to see that when it comes to the cinema!
This just isn't doing it for me, to be honest it's kind of done the reverse and I'm thinking ... wow, is that it!
Maybe I'm in the minority here but I always thought the two Fantastic Four movies that were released back in 2005 and 2007 were pretty kewl and very reminiscent of the comics. They had the first family vibes pretty near damn perfect along with the comedy of the Human Torch and The Thing portrayed perfectly by Chris Evans and Micheal Chiklis.
The new guy Joseph Quinn playing Jonny Storm has got very big shoes to fill coming off of Chris Evans, although I did think he was great in Stranger Things and to some degree so has Ebon Moss-Bachrach characterising Ben Grimm, The Thing. His voice just seems to be so wrong for the part, but sure looks like Marvel have finally got the Thing right with his brow on his head.

Is it me of is the part where Jonny Storm flys up into the sky and falls back down to earth exactly like in the 2005 version.... surely Marvel could have come up with a different way of doing this than more or less copying the exact same scene. I'm also pretty sure this is Jonny flying up to meet the Silver Surfer... again exactly like in the 2005 version.
The same goes for Ben Grim looking in a shop window at his reflection.
This teaser just does't seem to ignite that spark, but we'll see its early days.
I have to say though I'm much more concerned with Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm and the ultimate concern is with Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards. Pedro Pascal just doesn't scream Mr. Fantastic to me, he's just to 'Meh' he does't come across as being really intelligent and I'm a superhero! I mean come on his portrayal of Maxwell Lord in WW84 should have been enough to put anyone off hiring him again for a Superhero movie let alone probably one of the most important ones in Marvels MCU history
Vanessa Kirby's Sue Storm also looks kind'a 'Meh' too and I know it's the era the film has been set in but those costumes are just awful. I'm sorry but just compare them to the 2005/07 films. Now those were true Superhero costumes. True once they meet up with everyone else I'm hopeful that they will update them with the current technology, which in my opinion can't come sooner than needed.
What I will say though is thankfully it looks like we're gonna get a proper Galactus this time and NOT a stupid cloud! That was such a let down.
